The CitySwift story
At CitySwift, buses are in our blood
Our team has more than 40 years’ experience across the bus industry and a unique understanding of its operational challenges. With deep public transportation domain knowledge, we’re ideally positioned to transform the way buses are scheduled.
In 2018, CitySwift was selected to join the Intelligent Mobility UK Accelerator Programme and Bank of Ireland’s Innovation Lab in New York City. The following year, we appeared in the Sunday Business Post’s prestigious ‘100 Hot Startups’ list and were described by siliconrepublic as one of the companies shaking up Ireland’s data science scene. We received accolades at the National Startup Awards over two consecutive years.
At IT-TRANS 2020, CitySwift won the UITP Global Startup Challenge for our AI-driven vehicle capacity prediction technology, which was used by major bus operators to help spread demand peaks, encourage social distancing and get passengers safely back onto public transport. The technology was also awarded ‘Technology Innovation of the Year’ at the Technology Ireland Industry Awards 2020.
CitySwift is institutionally backed. Our investors include Ryanair co-founder Declan Ryan’s Irelandia Investments, ACT Venture Capital and former CarTrawler Chief Executive Mike McGearty.
